Radiance Finishes First in Cruising Division

Mark Ward's Radiance, a Beneteau 456 hailing out of William H Seward Yacht Club of Anchorage, AK, eased across the finish line very early in the morning of July 21. With light and winds over the past 24 hours keeping her well offshore duirng the day, she caught better breezes approaching Pailolo Channel in the darkness and finally caught a glimpse of Maui paradise as the sun came up on the welcome party. Mark was dismayed to hear that squalls had blown Red Heather hard to the finish only a few hours before.
It is going to be a busy day as Turicum and Bravo Zulu are expected to arrive today.
